Tomorrow night there’s a pretty rad show going down at Baltimore’s Windup Space. One of my faves, Secret Mountains, is bringing their force to North Ave. Rumor has it, they have an album due out early next year and sometime very soon we’ll be hearing some new sounds from them. Also on the bill is Bmore’s Other Colors and Holy Ghost Party (both of which have some tremendous releases out on Gen Pop) and Brooklyn’s SoftSpot. RSVP here. See you there?
If there’s a midweek must see show in Baltimore, this has to be it. Jacober, Other Colors, Joe Blossom, and Chester Endersby Gwazda are all playing a super sweet show in the lot of the Current Gallery. On November 30th there’s a show the will surely sate any audio addicts ears because a trio of bands is going to flat out elevate Metro Gallery. Mississippi’s Young Buffalo and Baltimore’s Dead Mellotron and Other Colors are going to cure what ever post-Thanksgiving/post-Black Frida/post-Cyber Monday blues you have and…you should go.

As the guitar plays, something else creeps up…an entity…a being…a force…a horn…an organ…an idea…taking the life of this lonely sparsely beautiful rock and haunting it hard. Baltimore’s Other Colors solitary magic and expansive lo fi rock is something to take a hold of now.
