Holy crap! This past week my inbox has been flooded with not just good, but GREAT remixes from regular favorites of mine. Mikey Sanders aka Blackbird Blackbird continues to dominate my ears with his new remix of Warpaint‘s “Undertow”. I just about passed out when I saw the title of that email. Also if you haven’t bought in to GOBBLE GOBBLE yet, then perhaps these remixes of The Joe and Coma Cinema will do the trick. Here they are plus some solid reworks by Keepaway and Memory Tapes:
Its another lazy Monday, and I clearly have not received enough sleep from the weekend. My mind is extremely foggy and the caffeine influx is NOT doing the trick. I hate to say it, but the music isn’t even doing enough. Time to dig into the reserves and pull out some remixes I’ve been saving for a day just like this.

Fol Chen‘s upcoming album Part 2: The New December (due out on July 6th via Asthmatic Kitty) is on my highly anticipated album list mainly because of the extremely infectious single “In Ruins”. Apparently the band and AK thought it to be mightily addictive as well and exploited that fact by releasing a FREE remix EP for it featuring these fine gems:
Is there room in your life for one more band from Brooklyn? Just one? How about BK’s Keepaway who have a new EP Baby Style coming out on Lefse (home of Neon Indian) in May? Its spacey, semi-electronic, tribal pop that many will say sound similar to AnCo and they wouldn’t be making a stretch by any means. Still…the EP is pretty dope. So check it:

mp3: Keepaway – 5ive Rings
By the way Keepaway, if you’re reading this, your myspace background, while pretty cool, hurts my head.
