Just Listen: Bermuda Bonnie – Evil (mp3)

Bermuda Bonnie Evil

Brooklyn’s Bermuda Bonnie, aka Rebecca Huston, was featured on PP way back in ’09 pushing out some gorgeous retro bedroom pop with her debut S/T LP.  Since then her sound has grown into something completely different and completely wonderful it seems.  Her most recent single, “Evil”, is still in the bedroom pop vein, but grimier…and darker.  Lovely.

Quick Hits: Bermuda Bonnie

A long long time ago (February of ’08) I wrote up a little piece on Philadelphia’s An American Chinese, a dazzling folk pop rock (or as I like to call it “folprock”) seven piece.  The EP was dope and I still listen to it this day.  Becca Huston of An American Chinese has branched off recently with a new solo project Bermuda Bonnie.  Her free 7 track self titled EP is chocked full of delicious minimal bedroom electronic dreams spliced with some 1950s-esque pop ballad sweetness ground up with some Architecture In Helsinki/Of Montreal strange charm.  Get the full thing on BB’s myspace.  Meanwhile listen to these:
