San Diego’s DUDES (Ryan Solomon) has a knack for driving on the median strips and safety lanes of many different genres (psych-folk-electronic-rock-pop-experimental-blah-blah-blah) – meaning nothing clear cut, sometimes dangerous, perhaps even reckless, almost certainly illegal. All of that is good though. I tend to flock to music that my mind can’t place, but has a great vibe/groove/beat that my thoughts can dive into aimlessly. Solomon achieves this sound with ease.
