Over the last few months so blogging pals and I have been hard at work on PORTALS, a new music blog collective/community. I super excited and proud to be a part of this! Please take a moment to see/hear it:
Also to help celebrate the launch there is a new monthly mixtape up for stream/download on the PORTALS Bandcamp. Be sure to check it (features new music from GUIDES, Pressed And, Poor Spirits, Gracie, Gabriel White, and more!).
What happens when 16 blogs join forces and take an oath to honor and respect chill music vibes forever and ever? PORTALS. I’m proud to be a part of this new blog collective. By the end of the month this thing will be lit and there will be no looking back. Here’s the folks participating:
Be sure to get the full scoop/scope of everything here. To celebrate this announcement we’ve all put our blogging minds together to put together our first stellar mixtape. Stream/DL that puppy here – it features Ra Cailum, Alligator Indian, Beat Culture, Teen Suicide, You Won’t, Yalls, and more (including my entry – a sweet new Lands & Peoples track). Also there’s a stunning video put together by Left Arm Single so be sure to melt your eyes with that.

I usually only talk about music on this blog, but today exfm has released their new app for the Iphone/Ipod and I am loving it. Its a great app/website for following all the music coming out of the ever-growing group of music blogs that people follow. And its only a bonus that they list Pasta Primavera in the “Tastemakers” section. You can follow me on there at ex.fm/pastaprimavera and pick the free app here.
If you follow Bradford Cox’s multidimensional blog then you were delighted to find a free album’s worth of demo-like experimental Atlas Sound gold up for grabs yesterday entitled Bedroom Databank Vol. 1. Get it here. And now just as I write this, it appears Mr. Cox has put up Bedroom Databank Vol. 2 for free download. Get that one here. These collection is about as varied as can be, but all pretty amazing. Check a few of my faves:
mp3: Atlas Sound – Hotel Orlando
mp3: Atlas Sound – Green Glass Bottles
mp3: Atlas Sound – Sheila (CRACKS Remix)
That’s right, yours truly Pasta Primavera has been featured in The Pass‘s blog loving video for “Vultures”. Zach over at the fab We Listen For You helped put together the video that features a group of party people acting out and dressing up to emulate different blogs. You can spot us pretty early on with a group of people chowing down on a bowl of pasta primavera. See how many you can get:
I had no idea PP was in this, so I feel pretty honored to even be mentioned among the other blogs (30 total). Go to We Listen For You to get the full list of blogs used.
Also The Pass is pretty good (and has impeccable taste in blogs).
