Nouvelle New Wave is a new independent French label mainly focused on the italo disco and dream pop vibes. They’ve posted a pretty fine four song compilation to their soundcloud today entitled Preface. Each song is smooth electronic sunburned funk. The Carlea track currently has me completely engulfed:

It’s somehow taken me a few months to post on Montreal based Expwy’s newest EP, EP. That being said…I’m on it now. The music fits way better with this torrid summer we seem to be in the midst of than the springtime of its release. Matt LeGroulx continues his ability to blossom lo-fi rock that swoons like a hi-fi dream…this time with some added humidity. Check a few:

Adam Lempel, member of Baltimore’s Weekends, released a collection of instrumental pop (called Instrumentals) earlier this year and was nice enough to share with me today his new video for the first song of that release “I Am The One Who Loves You”. The video was created by Josh Cohen and is composed of footage from his travels through Maine and Nova Scotia. It is currently making me want to shut this computer down, find a lake, and dive in.
