Brooklyn’s Big Voyage (Elias Ravin) makes bass music that is dense and powerful.  Yes it makes you want to dance, but Ravin composes some really extravagant and beautiful jams.  Usually they revolve around one vocal sample that gets ravaged and transformed by a host of lasers and bass.  He has a debut EP, Be The One, coming out soon on This Way Down / Cue Recordings.

    Big V is tight. Down here in Bodymore Murdaland, we don’t listen to NYC sound, and you can get lit up by Felicia Snoop for even suggesting it. But this is one white boy who can bring it. If he were any more white, he’d be transparent. True That. But this here is deep. Lot going on in here. He’ll never make it unless he changes color, and that’s harder than a sex change operation. Almost could make me train up to Brooklyn–and I’m not talking Brooklyn, Maryland. But I don’t know why anyone would ever want to leave B’more.
